Ebbsfleet United’s pre-season clash against Charlton Athletic will be repeated this autumn as the two clubs were paired in Round 2 of the Kent Reliance Senior Cup.
The newly-sponsored event – courtesy of the Kent Reliance Building Society – sees Charlton and Gillingham once again enter and they, like current holders the Fleet, were granted a bye into the second round.
The draw was made today with Fleet boss Steve Brown in attendance, along with Daryl McMahon and the CEO of Kent Reliance. The home tie against Charlton must be played by November 5, 2014. Fleet ran out 1-0 winners in the pre-season friendly, Matt Godden’s penalty separating the sides.
