Ebbsfleet United’s pre-season friendly clash against Charlton Athletic has been put back 24 hours with a new date of Wednesday, July 23, kick-off 7.45pm.

Charlton have requested the new date to give their first-team extra recovery time following their return from a tour of Spain which does not get them back into the UK until late Sunday night.

The friendly is sure to be one of the highlights of Fleet’s pre-season calendar with a strong Charlton first-team squad expected as well as the grand opening of the new Stonebridge Road floodlights taking place.

Last season’s Addicks visit saw an entertaining 2-1 win for the Fleet in front of nearly a thousand fans.
