The Fleet Cup 2012 continued on Tuesday 13th March 2012, with the Primary School Mixed Tournament for boys and girls in Years 4,5,6 of local primary and Junior Schools.
The following schools entered teams into the primary schools competition, which was based on Fair play
Bean Primary School A – Bean Primary School B – Bean Primary School C
Chantry Primary School A – Chantry Primary School B
Cobham Primary School
Craylands School
Gateway Primary School
Hextable School
Holy Trinity School
Horizon Primary School
Manor Community Primary School
Westcourt Primary School
Ebbsfleet United Manager Liam Daish watched over the final matches and handed out the tophies on the day, Liam commented “the standard of young players here is really high and its great to see them all having the opportunity to play football and enjoy themselves within this well organised tournament”
13 schools entered the competition hosted by Fleet Fives , and enjoyed a full day of enjoyable and competitive matches. The top 4 schools who went through their group stages to compete in Semi Finals were:-
Semi Final 1 Bean A (4) v Chantry A (2)
Semi Final 2 Cobham (2) v Holy Trinity (1)
Both matches were end to end action, with all pupils involved in the excitement of the cup, in Semi Final 1 Bean scored 4 goals to put out Chantry School and in Semi Final 2 Cobham played well to edge out Holy trinity 2-1.

It was another end to end match with pupils working hard all the way to the end, a loud cheer went up when Cobham spectators saw them score the only goal of the match, in a really close final with many chances created. Well done to the Fleet Cup Primary Champions 2012 Cobham Primary School, who collected their cup and medals from Liam Daish.

The Fleet Cup 2012 kicked off on Tuesday 6th March 2012, with the Secondary School Girls Tournament for players in Years 7&8 and Years 9,10,11.
The following schools entered into the girl’s only competition, which was based on fairplay.
Beaverwood School, Chislehurst
Longfield Academy, Dartford
Leigh Academy, Dartford
Mayfield Grammar, Gravesend
Hextable School, Swanley
Wilmington Grammar, Dartford
Dartford Grammar, Dartford
Orchard Academy, Dartford
Ebbsfleet United Ladies first team captain Faye Baker and club officials attended on the day and were delighted with the turn out, as well as impressed with the level of competition, as many players there on the day played for local club sides including Ebbsfleet Girls FC.
Leigh Academy hosted the tournament and took full advantage of home turf as they led the way in both age groups.
Year 7 and 8 Tournament
Leigh Academy, Dartford were unbeaten in their group stages and went on to beat an also unbeaten Mayfield Academy, Gravesend, 1-0 in the semi final. They then overcome a very strong Wilmington Grammar, Dartford team by a single goal to take The Fleet Cup 2012

Year 9,10,11 Tournament
Leigh Academy and Mayfield Grammar both went through their group stages unbeaten, closely followed by Dartford Grammar and Wilmington Grammar.
In two very closely fought semi final matches Leigh Academy beat Wilmington Grammar 2-0 and Dartford Grammar narrowly defeated Mayfield Grammar 2-1.
The final match was very competitive and Leigh Academy run out 2-0 winners over Dartford Grammar
The club would also like to thank Goals Dartford facility and the young football leaders from Leigh Academy for their support throughout the afternoon, refereeing all matches.
