Fleet back Council bid for world record

Ebbsfleet United is working with Gravesham Borough Council to publicise an event that aims to put the town in the Guinness Book of Records. The Council is attempting to break a world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as Santa’s elves.

The world record is currently held by Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, and they recorded 762 elves in November 2012. So GBC is aiming for 1,000 elves for its record attempt. To take part in the event, or to volunteer your services as a marshal, all you need to do is register at the link below and come along on Friday, November 22 at 1,30pm to the Community Square, outside the Civic Centre.

You’ll need to dress in red and green and the council will give you a free elf hat with ears. Charity shops in the town are raising proceeds by selling red and green costumes. More information at the link below.
