Following his cameo appearances in the reserves this week, Ricky Shakes returns to Stonebridge Road…
Ricky Shakes has returned to Ebbsfleet United and goes straight into the squad for the game against Staines Town at Stonebridge Road this Saturday.
The 25-year-old flying forward/attacking wide midfielder joined the club in the summer of 2008 and stayed for a further season following a MyFC appeal to help fund his and Dean Pooley’s contract in 2009-10. He is only nine appearances short of the magical 100 mark for the Fleet, having started 65 and come on in 26 games in all competitions. He has scored eight goals.
After starting his career at Bolton Wanderers, Shakes went on to appear for Bristol Rovers, Bury, Swindon and Brentford. He made his international debut for Trinidad & Tobago in the 2-0 win over Iceland in 2006.
