Chris Henry signs on for another year while an old face returns to the fold in the shape of Derek Duncan…
Ebbsfleet United are pleased to announce the addition of two more players to the 2010/11 squad.
Returning to the club for his second spell is a familiar face in 23-year-old Derek Duncan, who joins from AFC Wimbledon. Derek, who began his career at Leyton Orient, had a spell at Wycombe Wanderers before playing 13 games for the Fleet at the end of the 2008-09 season. He joined AFC Wimbledon in the summer of 2009, playing 30 times for the Dons. Following his release in May, Fleet boss Liam Daish had no hesitation in snapping him up for a second time. A left winger, versatile Derek can also play at left back as he did during his first stint at Stonebridge Road.
Also signing on the dotted line is 19-year-old Chris Henry, a product of the club youth system which produced John Akinde and Luke Moore. Having spent a spell on loan at Chatham Town towards the end of the 2009/10 season, Chris is delighted to have signed on again and hopes to make a first-team berth his own during the coming season.
The club have also announced another pre-season friendly, the Fleet travelling to Ramsgate on Saturday, 31 July.
