Fleet chairman Dr Abdulla Al-Humaidi will be covering travel costs to offer Fleet fans free coach travel (via the Fleet Trust) on Tuesday after Saturday’s original tie was called off.
Fleet’s FA Trophy game at Braintree Town was postponed just 90 minutes before kick-off after the match referee deemed the pitch unplayable.
A pitch inspection at 12.30, followed by another an hour later, focused on an area of concern around one of the goalmouths and in the end the decision went the way of postponement.
It was a big disappointment for the travelling fans, many of whom were on their way on four coaches while others had already arrived.
With the draw for the last eight to take place on Monday, both sides will know their potential quarter-final opponents.
