Ebbsfleet United have signed striker Tyrone Marsh from Oxford United on a free transfer. The Bedford-born front man signs on his 21st birthday on an 18-month contract, less than 24 hours after almost knocking Fleet out of the FA Trophy by scoring for Welling United.
Marsh grabbed the second goal in last night’s replay to give his side a 2-0 lead, which was his ninth goal since September. With his loan to Welling expiring today, Fleet moved quickly to bring him in and he goes into the squad for the festive fixtures.
He has been at Oxford United since the age of 14, breaking into the first-team squad in 2012, playing in the League Cup and Football League for the Us. Goals flowed in loan spells at Aylesbury United and Staines Town, before he continued that form in a four-month stay at Park View Road.
Fleet boss Jamie Day told FleetOnline, “I am delighted to have Tyrone on board. He is a great addition to our squad and is a natural goalscorer which he has shown in the league above and against us.”
