Ebbsfleet United have signed former Ipswich and Charlton player Danny Haynes, following his appearance in two friendlies this week.
The 27-year-old, known for his speedy pace, can operate either on the right wing or as a striker and has more than 280 Football League appearances to his name.
An England U19 international, he spent four years at Ipswich Town, with whom he won the FA Youth Cup, and became a Tractor Boys cult hero for scoring twice against arch-rivals Norwich City in 2006.
After 120 games for Ipswich in the Championship, he joined Bristol City where he played alongside John Akinde, moving on in successive seasons to Barnsley, Charlton and Notts County. Having also played for Hibernian and Crewe Alexandra, he ended last season at Cheltenham Town.
He put pen to paper before playing the first-half of this afternoon’s friendly against Braintree Town and will give manager Daryl McMahon further options heading into next week’s opener.
