Ebbsfleet United will be conducting a thorough and immediate investigation into what caused our floodlights to trip during this evening’s fixture against Weston-super-Mare and the club would like to apologise to all supporters who will naturally be disappointed – as are we all – that tonight’s match did not reach its conclusion.
The lights are routinely tested and passed our usual pre-match inspections – and indeed are now operating once again having powered up minutes after the abandonment of the game.
The club have already put in motion an attempt to get the game replayed next Tuesday at 7.45 and admission will be free to everyone, regardless of whether fans attended tonight or not. That plan of action is subject to league approval and also the agreement of Weston-super-Mare so we will inform fans of any decision as soon as possible.
