Ebbsfleet United’s vice chairman Peter Varney has again praised the fantastic support the team received following the victory at Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday.
Speaking to FleetOnline, Varney said, “The support for the team on Saturday was tremendous and the crowd played their part in helping us secure our 12th away win of the season – which is the best away record in the top six divisions. The support all season has been first class and on average we are adding 217 fans to a home team’s average attendance so a lot of teams are looking forward to us being the visitors!”
At the same time, our average home league attendance has grown to 1,235 which represents a 31.4% increase on last season. And in our 14 away games this season, Fleet have helped provide one of the home club’s best three attendances of the season on no fewer than 11 occasions.
