Appeal for witnesses

The club has been contacted by the Football Association after the match referee at Sutton United last Saturday reported that a number of objects were thrown on to the pitch after Sutton scored their second goal from the penalty spot.

Vice chairman Peter Varney said, “This is a very serious incident and we will not allow any individual to damage the reputation of our club and of the majority of our well-behaved supporters. Rest assured we will track down those responsible and they will be banned from attending future matches.

“We have some photographic evidence from the day and will be working with our stewarding team and the police to take formal action against those responsible. I would appeal to any supporters who witnessed what happened to email the club at info@eufc.co.uk and any information given will be treated in the strictest confidence. We cannot allow those involved to damage our club in this way.”
